Root to Rise: Yoga and Strength for Resilience

The 12 week Root to Rise program is designed to help you center your mind and body using Yoga, Conditioning, and Strength Building strategies, empowering you to meet the challenges of uncertain times 'heart on'. First we will Align (practicing self-myofascial release, integrating and stabilizing your joints, regulating your Nervous System, and optimizing your muscle function), followed by a month where we'll Grow your strength in various muscle groups to support your upper and lower body, culminating in a month where you will cultivate an uplifiting Flow, relative to your individual skill level.

Rooted in the foundations of Anusara Yoga technology and related movement modalities, from mobility training to ballet to martial arts to weighted vinyasa, this training combines findings from modern physical therapy and biomechanics with life affirming philosophy and somatic movement (the felt sense), charting a path of deep knowing, awakening, experience, and expertise about your own body-mind complex.

Whether it’s that achy, “I’m over 30 and getting old” feeling when you try to reach the top shelf or lift your (grand)kinds, whether you are constantly getting injured in randomn movements, or whether you feel hopelessly off kilter when you listen to the news: we often suffer from the instability of life.

By ‘learning the ropes’ of how to stabilize YOUR body and nervous system, you will create the conditions for an alacrity that starts in your bones and radiates into your attitude, creating an easeful confidence on and off the mat.
